| i've had xanga since November 2003, and while it's been a great 2 years, complete with ups and downs and just craziness, i have reached the point on xanga where I cannot fully express myself on here and so I must put down the proverbial pen on this diary. maybe i'll be able to pick it up again, and maybe this will just go into infamy like my diaryland page and my live journal. i won't shut it down tho. maybe i'll just get a new one. maybe menacing beatbox or somethin like that.
*shrug*
well it's been a great time talking, laughing, crying, getting props, not getting props, and everything inbetween.
it's been real. | | |
| new music: Jamie Cullum - Get Your Way
so today has been kind of a bummer. I failed my econ exam and got a D in the class. but hey, i passed and i don't have to take it over. one more econ class and i'm through with econ! yeshe!! so for the tally, my grades are as follows: Spanish - A ; Accounting - B ; Microeconomics - D ; Electronic Imaging - F(A). So that totally sucks, and my GPA falls ever so slightly to 2.5. ah well there's always next semester.
and this keyboard really sucks right now so i'll finish this later...
| So I need to be writing my Accounting Paper that's due today, and I'm pretty sure I bombed my micro test today, so instead of lamenting then working on the paper, I decided to post on the dear ol Xanga and ask some ever pondering questions:
1. Why do I really want a boyfriend right now? - It's just one of those times where I just really feel the need for companionship. Right now either I'm too picky, or there's just not much to choose from here in Clarksville. All my other guy friends think something's seriously flawed with me because i don't have a boyfriend here, but honestly, and this might come off really uppity, but I haven't found someone smart enough for me. I'm a very mental person (oh boy is that the truth). If you can't keep up with me and talk intellectually with me about anything and nothing then I'll still hang with you, but everything will drop to a platonic level. And besides that, I don't think I'm emotionally ready for a relationship. I just have too many other things on my plate.
2. Is this year the year of the greatest birthday party ever? - With all that is in my heart, YES. For those of you who don't know, my birthday is on New Year's Eve (that's 25 days and counting) and I turn 21. Crazy hijinx will definetly abound, but not too crazy of course.
3. What do I want for my birthday? - Well that's such a great answer. To close out this post I shall leave several answers:
-Any book about/by Ernesto "Che" Guevara -Office Space Special Edition DVD with Flair! -"Survivor" by Chuck Palahnuik -"Catching Tales" by Jamie Cullum -"Everyday" by Dave Matthews Band -a David Beckham poster -Good Will Hunting DVD -Edward Scissorhands special edition DVD -Fight Club special edition DVD -good 'ol CASH -a Superman Lunchbox -or any cool metal lunchbox for that matter -CSI: NY Season 1 -an iTunes gift card. -a neighborhoodies gift certificate -any other gift cards too. -Beastie Boys "Solid Gold Hits" album
| Poor little Xanga, I've been neglecting you. That's okay because I have something worth talking about!
So the Listener show was last night and it was awesome. I went to C4's dorm a little after 6 and we waited for Listener to show up. C4 also grabbed the new Mars Ill joint and I'm very jealous. Next thing I know, I look up and there's Listener just outta nowhere.
L: How are you! I'm Dan.
Me: *small smile, slight nod* Alexis.
and that is how I first met Listener. Completely boring. Then the 3 of us piled into C4's Grand Am, picked up some people and headed to Fazoli's. Listener talked about being a vegetarian, this weird waitress kept walking by forcing breadsticks and later almost a jacket on us and it was good times. Me and Sarah were not eating (she had a coffee), but she had to eat a breadstick for the team and then Listener ended up giving me some of his pizza. I should've kept it and sold it on eBay... coulda got a great $10 for it lol
Then we went to the Ice House Cafe where the show was going to be. My arms and hands are hurting right now, otherwise I would go into excruciating detail into how it was. C4 did a set, and aside from the technical mishaps, it was awesome. And Listener then did his set and it was just a tad bit more awesome. I was a great fan of the Q&A session. Some great questions and some not great times trying to enjoy silence. But awkard silences were great. All in all, it was a fantastic show and can't wait to do it again. The only regret I have is that I didn't charge my phone so my battery died and I couldn't take pictures. Ah well, such is life.
| new music: Gackt (oh my dear sweet strange Gackt...) - Mizerable
side note: i remember one time in high school i was talking to my friend melaena and i was like "i need to hear something that will pep me up!" and i put on this song and malaena just gave me the craziest look ever. what can i say, from the bridge to the end i get hype for some reason even tho the song is sad... *shrug*
ŽžŠÔ‚ɂ܂ê‚ÄÁ‚¦‚é [I can't forget the sadness that I cannot return to...]

the more things change, the more they stay the same...
things still suck for the most part, but a lot of things are looking up...
always look on the bright side of life...
so with that being said, please tell me that one of you has heard the queen/g-unit mash-up. i can't find it online but i'm sure it's hilarious. check out bestweekever.blogs.com for more info.
